Delivering Solar + Storage to Maximize Self-Reliance
Woodcrest Christian School’s leadership team identified an opportunity to significantly reduce operating costs while strengthening their infrastructure. SolarMax Tech partnered with them to engineer a resilient, future-forward solar + battery system that aligns with educational priorities and community impact goals.
Located in Riverside, CA, the school’s expansive campus provided an ideal location for a solar parking canopy system. The installation included over 1,500 high-efficiency modules, inverter integration, and a commercial-grade battery system, designed and installed by our in-house EPC team.
The school required a cost-effective solution to reduce utility expenses, stabilize energy usage, and create a layer of protection against outages. They were also interested in enhancing sustainability without disrupting daily operations or requiring upfront capital.
We proposed a turnkey energy solution using a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), allowing the school to access clean energy and battery resilience at no upfront cost. Our team handled permitting, design, and construction, delivering a seamless solar and storage integration with minimal disruption to campus life.
Since installation, the school has cut energy spending dramatically and gained the ability to draw on battery reserves when needed. This not only reduces peak usage fees but ensures consistent service during outages, which would be a major value-add for any large-scale educational institution.
