   Rebate Coordinator-Job Description and Qualifications


The Rebate Coordinator will be responsible of maintaining utility rebates for each project by coordinating with major Public Utility Companies. Performing daily process of new rebates and follow up with updating customers on progress of each project and other related rebate work.

More importantly, Rebate Coordinator will work with Solar Engineers and Project Managers on determining best numbers of rebate be processed on the
behalf of SolarMax or the customer at their best interest. Rebate Coordinator will be asked to participate in utility seminars to be up to date with current State and Federal Incentives.

Daily Operations:
Coordinating with Utility Companies on filing Rebate Reservation Request, Incentive Claim Request

And Net Metering Interconnection agreement

Work with Solar Engineers on factoring orientation to determine the optimal rebate amount

Keep filing/document management system for electronic and paper documents organized

Monitor updates or changes on PowerClerk.

Coordinate with Utility Companies on any changes on the applications and ensure reservation is complete

Expedite Claiming process to obtain rebate checks generally within 45-60 days.

Work with Accounting on Account receivables and project forecast


 
Staff Assistance:


Research utility company’s policy to be compliant
To be up to date with current Trigger point trackers.
Keep updated customer Rebate list

 
Qualification and Skills:


Good sense of account receivable
Good organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical)
Good oral and written communication skills
Self starter who can work independently
Skill in establishing priorities and managing workload
Ability to follow directions
Technologically literate with strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,
Excel and other commonly used software
